Maybe I just don’t get this, but what in the world does hate crime legislation have to do with a bill for the Department of Defense? One News Now has a story about this. Two Senators, one Democrat and one Republican, have attached a hate crimes amendment to a Department of Defense bill. It would expand hate crimes to include crimes motivated by gender, sexual orientation, and disability. It looks like they are trying to keep quiet what Christians would have to say about homosexuals and their lifestyle, and that is bad enough, but I ask again. What does one have to do with the other. I suppose, if the legislation can not stand on it’s own merits, they just attach it to something that needs to pass and hope no one notices. Congress seems to have a strange way of doing business. It really is time for a change in this country.
